The PlayStation State of Play 2025 for June is opening up the summer with a bang because they’ve got some “bangers” of video game titles prepped for when the summer heat starts to kick in.

You’ve got action games, horror games, fighting games, and all sorts of titles from different genres that you might actually get decision paralysis from all the good games you can choose from. This month’s PlayStation State of Play will heat things up using guns, magic, brawns, terrifying monstrosities, and a whole lot more.

With that said, we’ve taken the liberty to create a list of the biggest games that PlayStation announced.

Lumines Arise—One of the Good Titles for PS5 Games 2025

Lumines Arise is an upcoming rhythm-based puzzle game developed by Enhance, the studio behind Tetris Effect: Connected. Announced during Sony’s State of Play 2025 on June 4 of the same year, it’s set to release in Fall 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and PC via Steam.

Pragmata is a science fiction action-adventure video game title developed by Capcom, with a planned release date of 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Originally announced in 2020, the game has experienced several delays, but it was recently reintroduced during Sony’s June State of Play 2025 event with a new trailer and gameplay details.

Romeo Is a Dead Man is an upcoming ultra-violent, sci-fi action game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and helmed by renowned creator Goichi Suda (Suda51). Announced during Sony’s June State of Play 2025, the game is slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Silent Hill f introduces its grotesqueries and horrors to the Land of the Rising Sun, showcasing an entirely new storyline and environment to the game. It’s the game’s first time to use Japan as its settings, and from what we’ve seen thus far, it looks quite promising. Hinako, the game’s seemingly main protagonist, will be gracing our gaming consoles this coming September 25, as announced during PlayStation’s State of Play 2025.

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement is an upcoming video game title game that many are quite familiar with due to it being one of the Metroidvania games that have a high score. It’s a 2.5D (not fully 3D since the game has prominent 2D elements) side-scrolling action RPG developed by ArtPlay and published by 505 Games.

According to the State of Play 2025, the game is set to release in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC using digital game storefronts like Epic Games or Steam.

Here’s a wild and wacky entry for Baby Steps, an upcoming physics-based adventure game developed by Gabe Cuzzillo (Ape Out), Maxi Boch, and Bennett Foddy (QWOP, Getting Over It), and published by Devolver Digital. The game is scheduled for release on September 8, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, according to the State of Play 2025 announcement.

Hirogami—Among the Many Unique State of Play Announcements

Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and Malaysia are the developers of the upcoming 3D action platformer Hirogami, which Kakehashi Games plans to release soon. The title is slated for launch on September 3, 2025, and will be accessible on PC and PlayStation 5 through Steam, based on the State of Play 2025 announcement.

Everybody's Golf Hot Shots—Whack Your Way to a Hole-in-One

Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots is the latest installment in the beloved Everybody’s Golf series (known as Hot Shots Golf in North America), set to release on September 5, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, according to the State of Play 2025 announcement.

Clap Hanz did not create this first major entry in the series, which is certainly a first. It’s also the first to be released on platforms other than PlayStation. It was created by HYDE, Inc. and distributed by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound—A Nice Time to Shine During the Playstation Studios Announcements

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is an upcoming 2D side-scrolling action platformer developed by The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous) and published by Dotemu (Streets of Rage 4, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge). The State of Play 2025 was truly the perfect place for it to shine because it got many viewers and people excited.

Cairn is an upcoming survival climbing simulation game developed and published by The Game Bakers, the studio behind Furi and Haven. Planned to be released on November 5, 2025, gamers can then get it on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.

This game is one of the interesting games mentioned during the State of Play 2025 because you don’t really get this kind of niche sports/extreme sports/hobby type of titles. It’s a welcome surprise, for sure.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection—Get Over Here and Check the Games Out

The forthcoming Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will honor the early years of the venerable fighting game series. Developed by Digital Eclipse in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games, the collection is slated for release in 2025 across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

As y’all can imagine, many rejoiced during the State of Play 2025 at this announcement, and a lot of people are excited to get their hands on this collection.

Project Defiant—The Odd One Out During the Announcement of Game Release Dates in 2025 for the PS5

Sony’s first-ever fighting game stick, known as Project Defiant, was initially demonstrated. We got our first glance at the device at the State of Play 2025. However, no release date was disclosed.

The Nioh series of games have been known for their difficulty and nice combat mechanics. After five years of Nioh 2 being released, the 3rd iteration of the game is finally here.

The next game in Team Ninja’s critically renowned action role-playing game series, Nioh 3, was formally revealed on June 4 at Sony’s State of Play 2025. Set for release in early 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, the game continues the franchise’s tradition of challenging combat and rich storytelling.

Tides of Tomorrow—One of the PS5 Games 2025 You Should Keep in Mind

Next up was a fresh, just-out-of-the-oven trailer for Tides of Tomorrow, an asynchronous multiplayer game in which the experiences of each player affect those of other players as they move around the environment.

Developed by DigixArt, the studio behind Road 96, the game is scheduled for release on February 24, 2026, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This is based on the details revealed during the State of Play 2025, and while it’s still going to take a while for the game to release, it might just be worth the wait.

Astro Bot—State of Play Announcements Presents New Challenges for Players From the GotY Winner

In July, five new Vicious Void challenge levels—Suck It Up, High Inflation, Handhold Havoc, Twin-Frog Trouble, and a fifth secret level—will be added to the 2024 blockbuster platformer Astro Bot. The update will also include more Special Bots, based on what the State of Play 2025 showcased.

Sea of Remnants—Sail the Seas and Face Its Perils Indefinitely

Sea of Remnants is an upcoming free-to-play oceanic adventure RPG developed by Joker Studio (known for Identity V) and published by NetEase Games. The title is planned to be available for gamers to buy in 2026, as per the State of Play 2025 announcement. The main consoles and digital gaming storefronts for people to get the game will be Steam for PC, people will have to rely on iOS, and Android for mobile phones, as well as the PlayStation 5 for consoles.

Sword Of The Sea—Skateboarding in a Game Will Never Be the Same

Sword of the Sea, the latest project from Abzu and Giant Squid Studios, the developers of The Pathless, blends skateboard-style movement with a narrative about recovering a lost ocean in a dying world. The forthcoming game’s August 19 release date was announced during the State of Play 2025 teaser.

IO Interactive gave us our first peek at the gameplay for its new James Bond venture, 007: First Light, earlier this week after revealing the game’s moniker. Later this week, the IO Interactive Showcase will feature additional gaming that will offer gamers more look into 007: First Light. The video game title is planned to be released in 2026, but we don’t have a conclusive date yet.

BONUS: Gamers Are Still Playing a Game of "Where's Wolverine?" Without Their Consent

Despite waiting for ages now, we still haven’t gotten a proper update for Marvel’s Wolverine in any of the State of Play features since 2021. Let’s see, in the current State of Play 2025 timeline, gamers are still screaming into the digital void: “Why is Wolverine still not here?” Unfortunately, we might not be getting some answers anytime soon.

There is a bit of good news, however, since Insomniac’s senior cinematic animator has mentioned that shifted their focus. What does that mean? Well, this means that the team has their eyes on finishing Marvel’s Wolverine first, and they’ve put working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for now.
