Electronic Arts has confirmed the status of Dragon Age: The Veilguard in their X post that the PC version of Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not need the EA App on Steam. This is good news and all, but you still have to check out Dragon Age: The Veilguard official system requirements so that you’d know if your PC can run it. While the game won’t launch the EA App on Steam, it’s still uncertain if an EA account will be necessary for online play since the Steam store page does not list an EA account as a requirement.

Here’s the official gameplay reveal of Dragon Age: The Veilguard:
What Is Dragon Age: The Veilguard All About?
Electronic Arts is the publisher of the action role-playing computer game Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which was created by BioWare. The Veilguard, Dragon Age: Inquisition (2014)’s sequel, is the fourth main game in the Dragon Age series.
In this new game, ten years shortly after Inquisition, the seeds of adventures are now sprouting in the fictitious setting of Thedas. This gives the player the opportunity to explore new areas, meet new characters, and go on a brand-new adventure in a brand-new world.
Beginning in 2015, the game’s development has been characterized by protracted delays, numerous significant design revisions, and a high staff turnover rate. In 2022, the planned title for the game was Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which sounds badass. But in June of 2024, Bioware decided to change the game’s name to Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
The reasoning behind this, as Bioware explains, is so that they could shift their focus away from the enemies to the companions players will be interacting with. Companionship is like the main ethos of the game, after all.
Do We Know of a Date When EA and Bioware Plan to Release Dragon Age: The Veilguard?
EA and BioWare plan to release Dragon Age: The Veilguard in the Fall of 2024 (Q3). Fans eagerly await the arrival of this massively anticipated addition to the franchise. Gamers from around the world can expect some pretty neat surprises with this one. A Gamerant article even mentioned that the game is definitely a GOTY (Game of the Year) contender.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is also polished and is made with lots of love and passion. Any player will surely be enthralled with this awesome product!
What Will Dragonage: The Veilguard Be Like?
To be honest, it feels like this is going to be the game wherein Bioware makes a comeback. Just search the Internet and you’ll see many people praising the game for how good it looks and whatnot. After playing the extended hands-off demonstration myself, I can attest that yes, the game does look awesome, and many of its gameplay mechanics and features are promising.
However, I will yield that the writing for this one is on the cheesier side, but I would argue that it’s the “delicious” kind of cheesy. Oh, and one more thing that’s so good about the game is that its character creator is huge.
In addition to skill trees and speech wheels, there are bursts of “we hear you” reactions to fan requests. The first hour is a memorable nocturnal drive through a dilapidated city in a blend of dazzling stars and opulent midnight blue, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. This is as confident as Bioware can get when it comes to hands-off demonstrations.
So to answer the question “What Will Dragonage: The Veilguard Be Like?” I can say with 100% confidence that the game is going to be fantastic! It might even be one of the best games of 2024 for many gamers in the world.
Get Dragon Age: The Veilguard Once It Is Finally Released!
Bioware and EA have a lot of great stories, gameplay, and characters in store for fans. Trust me, after playing the initial demo, I can say that I’m absolutely looking forward to the launch.
One very distinct impression emerged from the demo: BioWare appears to be back in the gaming industry. And they’re not back. They’ve returned to this landscape with a fresh feeling of self-assurance and faith. Faith that pretty soon, they’ll truly be back up on their feet and leave a mark in the gaming world.
