While most fixes may not impact players following the main storyline, they significantly enhance the experience for those who like to explore, especially with the Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update.

The latest Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update is a minor one. However, it addresses some critical issues left unresolved by the previous major update. Notably, the patch resolves a major bug affecting the final boss in the northern unnamed mausoleum, the Red Bear. Additionally, fans of PvP invasions will be pleased to know that the ability to invade in Scadu Altus has been restored after being broken in the last update.

Below are the full patch notes of Patch 1.13.2 for Elden Ring:

What Is the Deadly Poison Spray and Why Did It Get Fixed?

One of Elden Ring‘s skills is “Deadly Poison Spray.” The skill was added to the game when the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC was released. It’s derived from one of the game’s default skills, “Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle.”

Here’s how it works: the caster can swing the bottle forcefully overhead, causing a cloud of lethal poison to spread around the area. This poisonous cloud injures everyone it comes into contact with, including the caster.

The Deadly Poison Spray skill in Elden Ring needed to be fixed because some players were saying that the poison buildup was too much. Aside from that, the skill also had a bug wherein the “Death Flare” skill was found to apply to “Deadly Poison Spray.” So, when the Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update was introduced to fix this balancing issue.

Many players would abuse this exploit by using “Deadly Poison Spray” first. Then, they would equip the Eclipse Shotel, activate “Death Flare” and watch those inflicted by poison have the ailment status “Death Blight” skewer them to death from the ground up.

I’d argue that it’s an ingenious way of exploiting certain mechanics in the game, but it is very unfair, too. Seeing your enemies squirm with poison running through their veins and then eventually be skewered by tree branches that came out of nowhere is fun.

Who Is Red Bear and Why Did His Character Need Fixing?

In Elden Ring, Red Bear (not to be confused with Rugalea the Great Bear) is one of the Great Enemy Bosses found within the Mausoleum area in Shadow of the Erdtree. The Northern Nameless Mausoleum is home to Red Bear, a humanoid boss that glows white and almost appears to be wearing a bear’s fur coat. Since players can progress in Shadow of the Erdtree without defeating it, this boss is optional.

Personally, I would’ve loved to see the Elden Ring streamer who beat the 1 HP/1 FP/1 STA challenge run to fight the Red Bear. But the nature of Ainrun’s challenge was to specifically finish the game, so he wouldn’t necessarily be going after optional bosses like the Red Bear.

Now, let’s talk more about why the Red Bear needed some fixing. Red Bear’s modifications were primarily necessary since some of his attacks had unusually higher power than what it was designed for. As y’all can imagine, this caused a lot of frustration for players because they felt like the game was being unfair to them. Devs gave players the Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update to even the playing field out.

What Is Scadu Altus and Why Did the Devs Implement Some Fixes to It?

Scadu Altus is a location in Elden Ring that was included with the debut of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. It is situated northeast of Gravesite Plain. For quite some time now, players have been having issues with invading other players whenever they’re in Scadu Altus. It even had another weird bug wherein players could perform a cooperative multiplayer summoning, despite the fact that there were no bosses in sight.

From Software, the developer behind Elden Ring and its DLC has now given players a fix to this problem. In the latest Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update Patch, these bugs have now been resolved. What this means is that the game is now expected to function normally, without any of these issues being present.

The Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update Just Came in Time!

The Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update just came in clutch because players have been wanting some fixes for these bugs. From Software really came through and made everyone happy with this update patch, especially with Shadow of the Erdtree being considered one of the best games in 2024. Now, it’s time to scour the Lands Between as a Tarnished again!
