After acquiring the Risk of Rain intellectual property in November 2022, Gearbox Entertainment is pleased to reveal its first produced DLC for Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm!

Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm DLC invites players to explore new Survivors, harness powerful items, and venture through uncharted territories in a quest to ascend levels of the Colossus and face The False Son.

This expansion introduces 3 new Survivors, 5 unique stages, 2 elite enemy types, and much more, offering a fresh and challenging experience for new and long-time fans of the game.

Seekers of the Storm Features:

    • 4K Resolution at 30FPS or 1440p/1080p at 60FPS
    • Brand-new couch co-op splitscreen
    • New visual and audio effects via the DualSense Controller

Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm is available now for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).

Why Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm Is a One-of-a-Kind Game?

Developers typically don’t want their games to bebroken. They work extremely hard to ensure that the player experience is optimal, and they don’t like it when players try to snoop about in every corner or misuse the game’s features to get what they want.

The exception to the above rule is Risk of Rain 2 (and, naturally, Risk of Rain 1, which was also released on the Switch). Hopoo Games wants you to lose your mind so that their masterpiece is reduced to a smoking ruin.

What makes the game really fun for a lot of players is how challenging it is. But it’s not the type of challenge that you get to experience in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Here, you must battle your way across several stages and kill a final boss. But that’s not all because you’ll be juggling the items you’ve gathered and experience points. Oh, and that’s on top of the growing danger of the creatures and extraterrestrials pursuing you.

You will be completely overwhelmed once you reach stage five if you spend too much time searching through every rock in stage two for greater loot. Playing the game is undoubtedly a unique gaming experience.

The Game Actually Requires a Lot of Skill and Forethought

Breaking Risk of Rain 2 requires talent, planning, and quick thinking, unlike turning on god mode in any game. The fact that you have to work for omnipotence rather than having it bestowed upon you is a significant difference.

It is very satisfying to pick the appropriate equipment and keep ahead of the adversary until you gain a foothold. Once you’ve got that foothold, you’ll then be able to figure out how to defeat your foes and turn the tide in your favor.

It also helps that Risk of Rain is a rogue-lite game. You can attempt a different build, roll a different character, or utilize an artifact to introduce an intriguing gameplay feature that only spawns superior enemies. Maybe you want something that greatly improves your damage while lowering your health to 10% of its maximum capacity.

The options here are limitless, especially if you’re bored. One can say that Risk of Rain 2 never has a dull moment with these features.
