Playing the game on MAX HP with the best builds can already be quite difficult. Imagine how arduous and torturous it is to finish the game with only 1 HP (Hit Points), 1 FP (Focus Points), and 1 STA (Stamina). If you’ve played any From Software products, then you’re aware of how notorious they are for making really challenging games.

Even the Elden Ring Patch 1.13.2 Update didn’t make the game any easier. I’m very excited to be delivering this historical news to all of you, so without further ado, let’s talk about the Elden Ring streamer who defeated an insane challenge run!

A Brave Tarnished Has Proven That Thy Strength Befits a Crown

With just 1 HP, 1 FP, and 1 stamina point, an Elden Ring streamer has accomplished an incredible run. He did this through Elden Ring’s base game and its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

After over 20 hours and 900 deaths, Twitch streamer Ainrun finished their run. They shared their victory over Shadow of the Erdtree’s last boss on X/Twitter, which is shown here. It’s a first for the world.

A single HP is a clear danger since it implies that any hit—even from the smallest enemy or fall—will result in death. However, because Ainrun only had 1 FP, he was unable to use any Ash of War skills or spells that would have enabled the various speedrunning and cheesing tactics players usually use during regular runs.

But the Run Was Made Significantly Harder With Only 1 STA

You’d think that being an Elden Ring streamer, Ainrun would be bothered by only having a single point of HP and FP, but apparently not. It was the one point of stamina that made the entire ordeal feel as if someone was twisting a knife to Ainrun’s side.

He explains in a follow-up X (formerly Twitter) post that:

The one HP didn’t matter much cause I’m used to no hit runs. The one stamina was the worst part. You can’t chain actions like spam rolls or do combos, cause every action takes stamina and goes to the negative.

You need to wait a whole second for your stamina to go back to the positive before you can do another action. The one FP meant I couldn’t cheese bosses or use Ash of Wars or anything. Just pure movement and parries and self-hate.

Ainrun—A Brilliant Elden Ring Streamer—Finishing It on Both Base Game and DLC Made the Feat More Impressive

Given how difficult it was for many players to find Shadow of the Erdtree normally, the accomplishment is all the more remarkable. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki stated before the game’s release that FromSoftware “really pushed the envelope” on the player’s tolerance for the bosses. In actuality, players even have to kill an optional boss in order to enter the expansion.

Speaking of difficult games, a Lies of P sequel is said to be in the works. However, it seems like the devs would have to make some tough choices to make the game come true.

I just decided to do a bit of segue here to deliver additional news that you can read later. Alright, back to the program and let’s talk more about this amazing feat from this Elden Ring streamer!

What Is the "Lower Than Elden Ring Starting Health" 1 HP Run?

One of the stats in Elden Ring is HP. The term “stats” refers to a variety of attributes that control your character’s strengths and weaknesses. It also affects how interactions both within and outside of combat could impact a person’s character.

Your health and the amount of damage you can sustain before collapsing in a fight are gauged by your HP. It is among the Base Stats that are directly impacted by the distribution of a player’s Main Attributes. Character development in Elden Ring heavily relies on stats like HP.

The 1 HP challenge run is basically a variation of the “No Hit Run,” wherein players challenge themselves to not get hit—not even once. Such a challenge makes an already difficult game into a truly hard one because some of the enemy’s attack patterns can be extremely tough to read, adding more pressure to the Elden Ring streamer pulling this off.
