Easiest League of Legends Champions for Beginners to Choose

Choosing the easiest League of Legends champions might be a controversial choice for others, but you're going to have to start playing with the easier-to-use champions when you're a beginner.

Since there are so many mechanics to grasp, scoring a win during a League of Legends match can be challenging. You have multiple things to consider, like dominating the laning phase, last-hitting creeps and other champions, securing objectives, choosing the right champions during the “Picking and Banning” phase, and more.

Seriously, it’s easier to play Zoochosis than to secure a win in LoL—and Zoochosis is a horror game with purposefully convoluted mechanics integrated into its main gameplay.

You’re most likely going to choose a champion with simple skills, mechanics, and good base stats to help secure your first win. With that said, I’ve made a list of some of the easiest champions to use in League of Legends. Scroll down now and let’s get started!

Master Yi—One of the Many Easy-to-Learn League of Legends Characters

Let me start this list off with Master Yi—an easy-to-learn LoL champion and a personal favorite of mine. When I get tired of playing on rank, I just usually play a public game to chill out for a bit. Playing ranked in League can be a very stressful experience, after all.

Then, I hover my mouse over to a certain champion daunting a yellow katana-looking blade named Master Yi. With the help of his incredibly basic kit, Master Yi can do damage, restore some of his lost health, and speed up his attacks and movements.

If you’re a hypercarry player, the Samurai (with what appears to be goggles from the Splinter Cell franchise) is a fantastic choice because they have one of the simplest skill sets to learn. Master Yi maintains his competitive edge by becoming a late-game threat as long as he can farm for equipment, even though his early game is horrendously mediocre.

However, surviving every battle and team fight will mostly depend on when Alpha Strike (Q) is used. Avoiding dire situations and being aware of when to engage is vital, particularly when facing a strong CC opponent.

Garen—One of the Perfect League of Legends Champions for Beginners

When it comes to picking the easiest League of Legends champions, none can do a better job of dominating the top lane than Garen.

Being one of League of Legends’ poster boys, the powerful Demacian warrior and his “spin-to-win” playstyle can pave the road to victory. Partnered with a deadly ultimate that has earned him widespread recognition, foes are mercilessly cut down where they stand.

Garen is a melee fighter who can find it difficult to defeat ranged fighters. But Garen players need not worry because his tankiness, resistance, and ability to stack armor will help them survive any onslaught.

In the end, inexperienced players won’t have any trouble obtaining a skillshot when using Garen because his kit contains none. Garen is among the best top laner champions to learn to play.

Soraka—Among the Best Beginner-Friendly League of Legends Champs Who Are Supports

Soraka is an option for every player who wants to learn the ways of playing a support role. She is among the simplest champions to master, requiring fewer intricate moves.

Many players think of Soraka as somewhat of an ambulance. Your HP isn’t looking too good? Don’t worry, for Soraka will soon be rushing in your direction to fill up that health bar of yours at her own expense.

While the rest of her abilities are actually simple to use, two of them are designed to heal her companions. Unfortunately, Soraka is typically one of the main targets the enemy team goes after. This is because she is an enchanter and can essentially make her allies immortal.

Therefore, in order to avoid overexposing herself, playing Soraka will require precise positioning. It is often similar to how you’d position yourself as an ADC.

I do apologize because you might think this isn’t easy. But a support’s life is never easy, like some cozy casual games. No, a support’s life is brimming with hardship, even when you’re using one of the easiest support champions in the game.

Ashe—Solid for Being a Part of the Best LoL Champs for New Players

Due to what she can do, Ashe remains important despite the fact that she is one of League of Legends’ older champions. This helped her become extremely well-known in League as a support and an ADC. Ashe also ranks fourth in range advantage. She’s only behind Senna, Annie, and Caitlyn.

Lux—A Good Mage for Beginners to Play Around With

Lux is a mage midlaner with a pretty low learning curve, making her the perfect mage champion for beginners to pick. Using luminosity to her advantage is the core of her skill set.

Given her relatively simple skills, novices won’t have any trouble figuring out how to maximize her potential. Her range, snare, and vexing skills are the main reasons she has a big advantage in the midlane.

Lux’s skills allow her to rank among League of Legends’ best lane bullies. Since Lux can peel and shield her allies while poking enemies, she can also be used by players as a support champion.
