Arcane Season 2 has had everyone waiting in bated breath for its release, and when it finally did, it gave the audience stunning visuals and a great story for its first three episodes.
Hey guys! I’m very excited to share this news with everyone because, just like many in the gaming world, I’m a big Arcane fan. Although I’m not exactly a League of Legends player, I was there when news broke out that T1 won the Worlds 2024. This made the second season of Arcane an even bigger surprise when I found out that it was available on Netflix on November 9.
As of writing this article, I’ve watched all three episodes, and I just want to talk about how beautiful it is.
Arcane Season 2 Is a Spectacle Slowly Building Itself Up
From the three episodes I’ve seen, I can already tell that this entire season is a spectacle slowly building itself up. Viewers can tell that something big is happening in the background. Of course, when a “storm is brewing,” so to speak, it’ll only be a matter of time before the proverbial “sh*t hits the fan.”
I love how the story is able to make viewers feel this type of way without being too explicit about it. You are given small hints and clues, but the answers are never being spoonfed to you. This keeps the tension of the mystery alive and interesting until everything is ultimately made clear to us.
Not only that, but the series has fans creating wild Arcane theories about its lore and characters. That’s one of the biggest signs that a series is great. When you’ve got people engaged in theory crafting, that’s when you know you got them hooked, and Arcane Season 2 has done just that.
A Segue—What Do We Need to Know About Arcane Season 2?
What you guys would probably want to be aware about Arcane Season 2 is its release dates. Arcane season 2 will be structured in three acts, adhering to how other Netflix original shows have been released across a number of days.
Arcane’s schedule will look something like this: Act I just dropped back on November 09, 2024, Act II is scheduled to drop on November 16, 2024, and Act III is set to drop on November 23, 2024.
Riot Games has been very good at keeping the series’s details pretty hidden. However, strong hints of what’s to come can be found in the ramifications of the first season finale.
After Jinx’s father figure, Silco, dies in the first season, a distraught Jinx launches a Hextech rocket at the Piltover Council. The dubious peace between Piltover and Zaun will undoubtedly be destroyed, and the sisters will grow much more estranged as a result.
Now that there are power voids in both factions, new personalities can surface in an attempt to take over the leadership positions.
Getting Back to the Show's Brilliance and This Time It's About the Music
Another thing that I love about season 2 of Arcance is the music choices. You can tell that the songs chosen for the episodes were picked with great consideration of details in mind. Just take Linkin Park’s “Heavy Is the Crown” soundtrack for the series.
They play near the end of the episode, with one of the show’s main characters (the character is not one of the easiest League of Legends champions for beginners to choose) having to fill an important role they know they’re not ready for. What’s worse is that this role comes after they’ve just lost a loved one after the Piltover council rocket attack.
In this context, the song becomes the perfect soundtrack to help showcase that the crown that character is now carrying over their heads is heavy, not just because it’s an esteemed and prestigious position but also because of how unprepared they are for it and that it came at the cost of their dearly departed.
