The news of The First Descendant jiggle physics has fans ecstatic and eager to see how their favorite characters in-game would look with this "important" and "much-request" physics update.
NEXON Games Co., Ltd., developers of The First Descendant, were happy to announce to their players the inclusion of jiggle physics in the game. With a game looking as gorgeous and polished as Stellar Blade, I can understand why many gamers wanted this update to come true. They’re looking at the “plot” and its perspective, after all.
With that said, why don’t y’all join me, and together, we’ll jiggy this jiggly news!
Brand New: The First Descendant Update and Its Jiggly Motion
It’s clear that the people’s opinions have been heard since The First Descendant, a free-to-play cooperative role-playing game from Nexon that I must admit I assumed already had jiggle physics, will soon get it.
In a recent Discord Q&A, a team member from The First Descendant devs revealed the “important news” in what was arguably the most hilarious way imaginable. TFD_PD_Lee’s translated post starts, “Hello, it’s already past midnight in Korean time,” instantly reminding me of Nintendo’s late-night Twitter announcements.
Here’s the entire message:
“Hello, it’s already past midnight in Korean time. I had a busy day, so I’m just now checking into the Q&A channel. I may not be able to check in frequently tomorrow either, as I have a packed schedule starting early in the morning. However, I wanted to share some important news, so I decided to come online late tonight. After a lengthy discussion with the AD today, a decision has been made to add the much-requested ‘Jiggle Physics.’ This was decided only a short while ago, so the details of when and how it will be implemented in the game are yet to be finalized and will be shared in future updates. I hope this will be a pleasant surprise for our dear successors who have been waiting for it.”
What Is This "Jiggle Physics" for Those of the Uninitiated?
For the uninitiated, jiggle physics is a general name for systems that give particular body parts unmissably extreme oscillations. According to Wikipedia, which has an entire section devoted to it, jiggle physics—more colloquially referred to as “breast physics“—was first used in the combat game Fatal Fury 2 in 1992.
In the decades that have followed, it has become almost universal, despite the fact that not everyone finds it appealing. For example, Epic introduced Jiggle Physics to Fortnite in 2018 and swiftly deleted it, describing it as “embarrassing and unintended.” How a gaming studio inadvertently gives its characters Jiggle Physics is beyond me.
But what baffles me is the fact that The First Descendant already didn’t have jiggle physics in the first place. From the way the characters are designed, you’d think that jiggle physics would be the one they’d prioritize adding.
How Did the Gamers React From The First Descendant Body Physics Update?
Naturally, gamers, particularly men, had a range of reactions to the announcement. According to one of the Reddit forum’s Gamer post threads, a large number of gamers were thrilled that the game included this “important” feature.
Some of the unique and funny reactions from people on Reddit are:
- “My wife is gonna have a fun time watching me jiggle them thangs.”
- “The greatest science invention of Korea. Jiggly Physics lets gooo.”
- “For both genders right?”
And here I was thinking the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 leaks were the most pivotal news I’d be hearing about for this week. Fortunately, this news came in just in time to make things more interesting.
By the way, season 1 of the series is currently running. A video with the content of the next season 2 is scheduled to be released the following day, November 15.
The new features in season 2 are additionally intriguing, although it appears that “Jiggle Physics,” which was reportedly selected on the spur of the moment this time around, is not included.
