The setting of the new Silent Hill f details was disclosed to be the fictional city of Ebisugaoka, the hometown of the main character Hinako, and modeled in Kanayama, Geru in the Gifu Prefecture of Japan. Before receiving a terrible ultimatum, Hinako must battle her way through the horrors, work through difficult puzzles, and confront her own psychology in Ebisugaoka, which has been overtaken by hideous beasts and submerged in a fog.

Silent Hill f aims to present the essential components of Silent Hill to gamers in a fresh manner by fusing the iconic psychological horrors of the Silent Hill series with an unexpected Japanese location. Deformed monsters bring the horrors of Japanese horror to life, while the familiar Otherworld substitutes overgrown flowers and animalistic tendrils for its customary chain-link fencing and barbed wire.
Ryukishi07 claims that he incorporated several mystery elements into the Silent Hill tale and hinted that players would want to return to the game more than once in order to find the answers to the questions they will undoubtedly have by the end of their initial encounter with the game. The idea of “beauty in terror,” as Okamoto and Yamaoka often emphasized, is that the game would feel like a Silent Hill game while offering something completely different for players of all skill levels to appreciate.
Expectations for the imminent release of Silent Hill f, the first new installment in the venerable horror gaming genre since 2012, have been extremely high, similar to when the PlayStation Plus March games of 2025 was announced. Silent Hill f Konami Has Got the Dream Together
People have been eagerly awaiting Silent Hill f for quite some time, and this most recent round of revelations has only made me more excited. The project’s script was written by Ryukishi07, the creator of the intriguing cult classic visual novels Higurashi and Umineko When They Cry. The Silent Hill Transmission also disclosed that composer Akira Yamaoka, whose soundtrack for Silent Hill 2 is heartbreakingly brilliant, will be coming back to compose portions of the music.
Many are hoping because these two are exceptionally well-suited to work on Silent Hill f. Beyond that, though, we genuinely think that some fresh blood is exactly what the Silent Hill rebirth needs.
Although we think the remake was fantastic, we would much rather see more original games. A fresh approach to the series, adapting its central ideas of psychological terror to a whole different context. That’s exactly what the game seems to be, and I’m interested to see what fresh subjects it decides to tackle.
