Kinetic Games has a brand new Phasmophobia 2025 update for all of us and it will absolutely turn our Easter into a spooky surprise.

“Cursed Hollow,” Phasmophobia‘s very first seasonal event for 2025, has finally been unveiled. Players will encounter both personal and community challenges in the game mode Phasmophobia, which is limited in duration.

Seasonal activities for holidays such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas are usually held by phobias. Although the specifics of the events vary from year to year, they usually involve participants locating several totems or holiday-related items.

With that in mind, let’s go ahead and take a look at what we can expect when “Cursed Hollow” arrives.

The Latest Phasmophobia Update—Cursed Hollow—Is Coming Soon

Phasmophobia gamers will be able to take part in the “Cursed Hollow” seasonal event beginning on April 17. Individuals will be tormented by a Forest Spirit on some maps, and they will desire to find totems in addition to the standard chores of identifying the ghost and finishing extra objectives.

The Phasmophobia 2025 update ghost’s behavior is altered by gathering said totems; according to Kinetic Games, some effects can help the player whereas others make the game more difficult.

Let's Take a Deeper Look at the First Phasmophobia Seasonal Event

The makers of Phasmophobia have made several changes to the game’s functionality in response to player input over recent events, which they have acknowledged loud and clear. To give gamers a more varied experience, maps affected by the seasonal event will change every day. Prizes have been divided into two distinct groups, and the event is scheduled to run for three weeks rather than a month.

In the past, in order to obtain upgrades and new player ID cards, the entire community had to finish the event chores. The new Phasmophobia 2025 update—Cursed Hollow—will have a personal objective that exclusively considers the player’s own efforts, even though it will also have a community reward.

When players log in before the event ends, they will also be able to automatically collect any unlocked goodies. There are going to be many things on the roadmap for the evolution of Phasmophobia after the event, not only for 2025 but also for years to come.

Here’s a video from Insym talking about the Cursed Hollow Event:

What Can Everyone Expect From This Seasonal Event?

The game will have released two of the roadmap’s promised features with this next update: the Easter seasonal event and the Bleasdale Farmhouse makeover, which significantly altered the appearance of the house and its surroundings. In addition, the developers have promised player character redesigns, a new tiny map, upgrades to Grafton Farmhouse, and Chronicle, a new technique for obtaining more ghost evidence.

Chronicle will present new equipment, such as an audio recorder, as well as innovative ways to use already-existing equipment, such as the video camera. New maps, interior redesigns, and the eagerly anticipated Horror 2.0 update, which is expected to significantly alter the experience, are also anticipated in 2026.

Phasmophobia Cursed Hollow Start Date

The Phasmophobia Cursed Hollow event will begin on Thursday, April 17, according to Kinetic Games. The last two named updates (through Steam), which include the Bleasdale hotfix that repaired LoS, were released at 1pm UTC, however the developer has not specified a timing.

Due to this, the Phasmophobia 2025 Update is probably going to launch around this time. However, the UK developer is now on daylight savings time, which might affect the start time. Here are the times of release in different time zones:

  • 4am – 6am PDT
  • 6am – 8am CDT
  • 7am – 9am EDT
  • 12pm – 2pm BST
  • 1pm – 3pm CEST

Daniel Knight, the director of Kinetic Games and the game’s principal developer, explains what’s new, saying,

“We’re really excited for ‘Cursed Hollow’ to launch next week, and once again have our players join together to tackle this season’s Community goals. We’ve made some changes this year following direct feedback from our previous events; from the new reward split, to some interesting new gameplay modifiers. Our community is everything, and we’re always looking for ways to improve – we hope everyone enjoys what ‘Cursed Hollow’ has in store for them this Easter, and keeps the feedback coming on what they want to see in the future.”
