What Makes Elden Ring Ashes of War Different?

In the Elden Ring patch of Ashes of War, players have the ability to modify the scale of their desired weapons, put in new attacks, and more. These are strong damage modifiers that, when used properly, can increase the battle possibilities of everything you can use them on.

It’s an effective feature in Elden Ring patch that allows you to maximize the potential of weapons or even modify them to fit builds for which they weren’t originally designed. For example, how about giving a strength-based weapon magic scaling?

However, the method isn’t entirely clear, so you may need assistance with the Elden Ring patch Ashes of War alternatives. Particularly since you’ll need to search the Elden Ring world for them; you can only utilize the ones you locate or possess, and while some are hidden in strange places, others are easy to find.

Here’s a video that briefly explains how you can use Ashes of War:

Is It Worth an Individual's Time to Look for These Ashes of War?

Some of them may be worth the effort to find, particularly if you wish to modify a weapon for a particular build for which it was not designed. A weapon can be linked to a certain stat and scaled appropriately in some Ashes of War, while others add novel attacks or defense techniques.

In essence, Elden Ring Ashes of War is magical. At Sites of Grace, however, you are free to remove and reapply them to whichever weapon you choose. Although these Ashes of War are interchangeable, each Elden Ring weapon can only contain one at a time.

Every Ash of War adds an Affinity that influences its damage scaling metrics and a Weapon Art, which is some kind of unique skill. They accomplish the following when applied to a pertinent piece of equipment:

  • Modify the weapon’s affinity to increase some scales and attributes and decrease others.
  • If it already has a weapon skill, swap it out for a preset one.

It’s also important to remember that Elden Ring Ashes of War is restricted to specific kinds of weapons and equipment. The Ash of War: Thunderbolt, for instance, can be applied on melee weapons, with strict restrictions to its usage in other weapon types. Likewise, only shields and specific tiny weapons are compatible with the Ash of War: Parry talent.
