Explore the Sol System in style with Rogue Flight while engaging in dogfight with aliens—yes, you read that right, ALIENS!
Rogue Flight offers nine unique stages spread across the entire Sol system. Each level brings something new to the table. You’ll find epic space backdrops and intense battles as you advance through the game. You’ll perform incredible acrobatic moves, dodging enemy attacks while launching counterstrikes. The game’s analogue-video art style is a love letter to the visuals of vintage anime. If you grew up on shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Gundam, you’ll feel right at home.
Embrace True Arcade Action in Rogue Flight
Rogue Flight delivers true arcade action, complete with stunning visuals, fast-paced combat, and an immersive story. As you progress through the nine stages, you’ll need quick reflexes and sharp skills to defeat ARGUS’s hordes. You can also replay each stage in different game modes. The multiple difficulty levels mean that everyone, from beginners to seasoned arcade fans, can find the right challenge.
Authentic Retro Aesthetic for Players
With its vivid colors and distinctive hand-drawn feel, Rogue Flight has a very retro look influenced by vintage anime titles such as Macross and Gundam. Aside from the graphics, you also experience the thrill of playing with an original soundtrack composed by Fat Bard. Fat Bard is a veteran of video game music, featuring extra songs by Rinn, alongside Itoki Hana who created a J-Pop theme song for the game.
Players also have the option to upgrade their fighters with 24 badges, 40 weapons, 40 different aero designs, and more than 100 different liveries. Customizing your beloved spaceship isn’t going to be boring with all the customization options available to everybody.
Even the gameplay itself is very retro with its aesthetic. Personally, the game felt like I was playing Ace Combat from the PlayStation 1, but with a faster and smoother pace. Although comparing it to the Fallout Classic Collection would be unfair, the game did bring up some nostalgia in me.
The kind of nostalgia I never thought I’d be able to experience and feel in games. A nostalgia that only Ace Combat, Wipeout, and Star Fox 64 players can only understand.
